Kemp I. Byrnes - Chairman

Lifelong Baltimorean Kemp Byrnes founded Byrnes and Associates, Inc. in 1984. He is well known and respected for his expertise in marketing, selling and developing real estate. With over 50 years of broad base experience, Mr. Byrnes' marketing and sales skills stand among the top of the area's professionals.

When others failed to see value in a property or were unable to locate qualified buyers, Kemp Byrnes has used creative insight and structuring to market and sell properties for top dollar.

He has successfully closed complex transactions, ranging from 1031 exchanges to the sale of a 1,700-acre golf and country club.  Mr. Byrnes combines his experience as a broker, developer, redeveloper and investor to bring “hands on” knowledge to the successful sale of retail, office, apartments, industrial or mixed used properties.

With hands-on knowledge, he is able to accurately evaluate the financial, physical, marketing and ownership aspects of property from a past, current or future viewpoint.  Kemp Byrnes has been very successful in start-ups, work-outs, adaptive use, restorations and new area pioneering.  Throughout his career, he has added tremendous value to a collection of organizations such as the Historic Charles Street Association (former President), The Associate Division of Real Estate Board (Chairman), Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce (Board of Director), the Real Estate Board of Historic Baltimore (Board of Director) as well as countless philanthropic organizations and has been the recipient of many awards and honors.
